2nd Friday ArtWalk: Acktoberfest

Join us for the Ackland Art Museum’s fifth annual Acktoberfest — an evening filled with art, crafts, and local vendors!

Art supplies will be available in our ART& space, where visitors can create their own paper plants inspired by Phaan Howng: Against Nature. There will also be postcards inspired by the installation for visitors to enjoy and use.

Explore our special exhibitions Care and Concern: Recent Acquisitions of Modern and Contemporary Art , and Continental Shift: Recent Acquisitions of African Art throughout the evening with extended museum hours.

Local vendors will be on hand with goods to browse and purchase, including Dingo Dog Brewing Company, where visitors can grab a drink to sip while crafting.

Acktoberfest is a free, walk-in program; no registration required to attend or craft. Museum galleries will be open from 5–9 p.m.; the vendors will be onsite from 6–8:30 p.m.
