Join us for a virtual Art for Lunch, our interview-style talk with the Ackland’s Elizabeth Manekin, to discuss how Dr. Antonia Randolph’s class “North Carolina Black Feminisms” utilize selected works of portraiture and self-portraiture by Black artists from the Ackland’s collection to explore the construction of Black feminist identities. The installation features works by Lezley Saar, Renee Stout, Shanequa Gay, and Willie Cole and will be on view in Ackland Upstairs from January 10 to March 20, 2022.

Bring your lunch – and questions of your own – for this lively, conversational program.

Free. Register for a free ticket below to receive a Zoom link to this virtual program.
