Join Lauren Turner, Associate Curator for Contemporary Art and Special Projects, for a final guided look at A Product of Its Environment: Selected Works by the MFA Class of 2024. The exhibition investigates the idea that physical surroundings, both ancestral and current, influence people’s personal identities just as much as past and present populations correspondingly shape their geographies and landscapes. The participating artists are Mark Anthony Brown Jr., Molly English, Matthew Troyer, and Vera Weinfield, this year’s graduates from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art program.
