DESCRIPTION:Join us as the Ackland takes our popular Art Adventures class online with instructor Allison Tierney! This special session will feature an artwork found in Micro/Macro\, which is on view at the Ackland through May 22. \nClass sessions will be limited to 15 participants*. A supply list and Zoom meeting link will be distributed to registrants prior to the class session. To use Zoom\, students will need access to an internet-connected computer\, smartphone\, or tablet with a built-in microphone; caregiver assistance may be needed. Art Adventures is geared towards children aged 6-9.\n \n*Families with more than one child can participate together and should only register once. \nDuring this time\, we want to make sure price isn’t an added burden for families – please select the ticket price that you feel comfortable with ($0.00 or $5.00). \nIf you encounter registration issues\, please email us at acklandRSVP@unc.edu. We apologize for any inconvenience.

DESCRIPTION:What to Expect\n· Ackland staff will regularly sanitize high touch surfaces\, including the doors and restrooms. \n· Ackland staff will wear masks and perform transactions from behind a Plexiglas shield. \n· Using timed ticketing\, visitation to the museum will be limited so that visitors have space to safely enjoy our exhibitions. \n· Tickets are available for individuals and families with four or fewer people in their household. \n· Social Distancing signage and gallery capacity signage in museum galleries will assist with a safe and easy flow of visitors. \n· Currently\, the Ackland is not offering in-person programs or group tours. \nWhat We Request\nThe Ackland Art Museum cannot guarantee that any visitor will not contract COVID-19 while on the Ackland’s premises. By reserving a ticket and visiting the Ackland\, all visitors voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 exposure\, since this risk exists in any public setting.  \nTickets may be requested for parties of no more than four (4) people and must be reserved in advance. The Ackland may ask visitors whether they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 recognized by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Ackland reserves the right to deny entrance to any visitor or members of that visitor’s party who report having COVID-19 or who exhibit possible COVID-19 symptoms. If visitors experience these symptoms while in the Museum\, they may be asked to leave.  \nWe ask for visitors’ cooperation to help protect the health and safety of our community. Visitors must comply with all visitor protocols set forth in the Ackland’s Visiting Us During the Pandemic webpage\, ticketing confirmation communications\, posted signage\, and instructions from staff. The Ackland reserves the right to refuse or revoke entry to any visitor\, including members of that visitor’s party\, for failing to comply with protective measures.  \nThe Ackland is collecting and retaining visitor contact information to allow for notification if a visitor may have been exposed to COVID-19. Contact information may be shared with public health officials if visitor has been exposed\, and health officials will then contact you to answer your questions and provide resources. DESCRIPTION:The Ackland curators have selected their favorite “treasure” from the Museum’s collection not currently on view\, and Wine Feed\, local wine bar in Durham and Raleigh\, has paired each piece of art to a specially selected wine and a gourmet chocolate bar from Raleigh’s Videri Chocolate Factory. \nPrice includes live curator-led presentations and instructor-led tastings\, 3 full bottles of wine\, 3 gourmet chocolate bars and a recording of the program to enjoy at your leisure. Only one purchase needed per household so you can share the wine and chocolate! All goods available for curbside pickup. Delivery and shipping available for some areas. \n$50-$80 of the price will go directly to support education and public programs at the Ackland.
